Clipboard Vault is a free Chrome extension that saves your recently copied text snippets locally on your device. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.

Data We Access

When you copy text on a webpage, Clipboard Vault reads the copied text only at the moment you copy so it can be saved to your local history. This includes:

• Text you select and copy (Ctrl+C / Cmd+C)
• Text you save via the right-click menu ("Save selected text")

Copied text is processed locally and is never sent to Algobots servers or any third party.

Data We Store

Clipboard Vault saves the following on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API:

• Your clipboard history (text snippets, timestamps, pin status)
• Settings (history size limit, theme, notification preference)

This data stays on your device and is not transmitted externally. You can export, import, or delete your history at any time from the extension popup.

Data We Do Not Collect

• No personal information or account registration
• No browsing history logs
• No analytics or tracking
• No selling or sharing of data
• No cloud sync or remote storage

Third-Party Services

The extension loads the Inter font from Google Fonts in the popup and settings page. This request is subject to Google's privacy policy.

Permissions Explained

• notifications — Show optional notifications when text is saved via the context menu.
• scripting — Inject the copy listener into open tabs after the extension is installed or updated.

Children's Privacy

Clipboard Vault is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal data.
